How to Cancel an Appointment

You can cancel your appointments from your account on either our app or website. Please keep in mind, you may be charged a fee if you cancel within a 24-hour period or if you simply don't show up to your appointment without canceling first. If your appointment is within 24 hours, you'll need to reach out to your professional directly. Please refer to your professional's No-show/Late Cancellation policy located on their booking profile and in your appointment email confirmation.


How to Cancel an Appointment

All appointment management, book or cancel, is done in your client account. StyleSeat customer support cannot cancel appointments on your behalf.


  1. Click Appts


  2. Click View Details on the appointment you want to cancel


  3. Click Cancel 


  4. From there, you will have to confirm the cancelation and select your reason.
  5. Once the appointment has been canceled, you should receive a confirmation email.


NOTE: If you booked an appointment as a Guest the appointment will not show in your upcoming appointments. You can cancel your appointment from your confirmation email by selecting Manage your appointment.
Last Minute Cancellation

StyleSeat offers a protection policy for our professionals called a No-Show/Late Cancellation policy. This means pros can choose to charge your card if you skip the appointment or cancel within 24 hours of the appointment start time. The policy is included on the confirmation page when you are booking your appointment. We allow our professionals to set their own policies and are not able to refund charges related to No-Shows or Late Cancellations. 

 

How These Policies Work

If you miss your appointment or cancel within 24 hours of the appointment time, your professional has the ability to charge a percentage of the cost of the booked service listed on their booking page. All no-show or late cancelation policies are decided upon and set up by your professional. For more information click here.


NOTE: StyleSeat does NOT have the power to set up or enforce any policy for a professional. StyleSeat only provides the software that allows professionals to set up a list of services, manage appointments, accept online bookings, and charge or not charge for a service etc.

I canceled my appointment immediately after I booked it. Will the late-cancel fee be refunded?

If you booked the appointment within 24 hours of the start time, you will be charged a fee to cancel even if you do so right after you booked it. 


Can the late-cancel fee be applied to a future service?

The late-cancel or no-show fee does not apply to a future service. You may contact your professional to ask if they can accommodate a request to apply the fee to a future service. If you attempt to cancel your appointment within the 24-hour window, you will be notified prior to confirming your cancelation that you will be incurring the fee. You may reach out to your professional to request that they cancel the appointment and waive the fee. However, if they are unable to accommodate your request, you will be responsible for the fee. 


What happens if my pro cancels but doesn't delete the appointment or reschedule it?

If your appointment was cancelled by your professional, your appointment should be either deleted or rescheduled. In the case that either doesn't occur, please contact StyleSeat Customer Service and include the following details:

  • Appointment date
  • Professional name
  • Why you are requesting a refund

What if my professional did not provide a location so I was charged a fee to cancel?

The best practice is to be sure to get all of the important details about your appointment location prior to the 24-hour window so you will have time to cancel without incurring a fee in the event that there are any issues. If you feel a no-show or late-cancel fee was inappropriately processed, please contact StyleSeat Customer Service and include the following details:

  • Appointment date
  • Professional name
  • Why you are requesting a refund

What happens if my professional doesn't show up to an appointment? 

If your professional does not show up for your appointment and you are charged, please contact StyleSeat Customer Service and include the following details:

  • Appointment date
  • Professional name

What if an emergency comes up and I'm unable to attend my appointment?

StyleSeat professionals do understand that emergencies happen and you may be unable to attend their appointment. We recommend reaching out to your beauty professional directly if you do need to reschedule your appointment. Please reach out to your professional directly if you need to request a refund. You may reach out to your professional to request that they cancel the appointment and waive the fee. However, if they are unable to accommodate your request, you will be responsible for the fee. 


How can I get a refund for my late cancel or no-show fee?

StyleSeat is the tool beauty and wellness professionals use to manage their business, including charging clients so we are unable to provide refunds or stop payments on their behalf. Please reach out to your professional directly if you need to request a refund.


Will my booking fee be refunded for a late-cancel or no-show appointment?

The booking fee is not refundable for late-cancel or no-show appointments. The booking fee will only be refunded if the appointment is canceled by your professional prior to the 24-hour window preceding the appointment time.
