Updating Your EIN

In the event that your EIN information that you provided was not able to pass the verification process by our payments processor, Stripe, you will need to update it with the following steps:

To continue to securely process payments through StyleSeat, please update your EIN information by going to MORE > Payments & No Show Protection > Verify Identity. From there, please fill in the required fields and select SAVE when you're ready.

Note: This information is not used to perform credit checks or full background checks, but simply to make sure that our professionals are who they say they are

Troubleshooting Tip

• Please ensure the account’s company name and EIN match exactly what’s shown on the company’s SS-4 confirmation letter or Letter 147c, including capitalization and punctuation.
• When EIN is not verified this is usually because the business name is not in all caps or entered with your name included. Please ensure the business name is in all caps and include the full name as shown on the document.

Updating Your SSN

To continue to securely process payments through StyleSeat, please update your Social Security Number (SSN) by going to MORE > Payments & No Show Protection > Verify Identity. From there, please fill in the required fields and select SAVE when you're ready.

Note: Please note that your legal name (on your social security card, or birth certificate) must match the information you are entering; any spelling error can cause the verification to fail.

The requirement to provide an SSN comes from legal regulations that we must adhere to. This information is necessary for reporting to the IRS, ensuring compliance with tax laws. While we recognize this might be inconvenient, it is a standard practice that helps protect both you and our platform against potential legal and financial risks.
