Import Multiple Clients To Your Client List

Article Summary: We want to make it as easy as possible for you to get your profile set up, and that includes getting any existing clients into the system. By importing your client data into our system, you can get off to a faster start using StyleSeat! You can see your whole client group at a glance from the start and can book appointments for them if necessary as they get used to booking you on our platform.

NOTE: Having your clients already added in our system makes sure we know they are coming to book with you as a referral. This helps us focus on trying to bring more new clients your way through our marketing efforts, and improves the accuracy of our Marketing Program.

How To Import Clients From Your Contacts List

We know that a lot of our Pros know their clients personally, and communicate with them through text. Because of this, we built in the option to import your phone’s contacts directly into your client list! Here’s how to do it:

1. Navigate to the Clients tab

2. Tap Add New Client
   
   

   

3. Tap Import from Contacts and allow StyleSeat access
   
   
   

4. Choose which contacts you want to import to your list

5. Tap Import

How To Request an Import

If you have a list of existing clients that you’d like to get added to the system, all we need from you is a spreadsheet with a few pieces of information, and we can help you out! You can use a program like Excel or Google Sheets to export a .CSV file with the following information included for each client:

• First Name

• Last Name

• Email address

• Phone Number

Please make sure that each of the above points is in its own column on the spreadsheet. When you are getting that information entered on the spreadsheet, make sure there are none of the following that could cause an issue with the import:

• Duplicate Entries

• Extra columns 

• Special characters like a (-) or (*)

  • For example, enter a phone number as 1234567890, not 123-456-7890

Once you have that list completed and create the .CSV file, you can attach it to a request in our Help Center and our team can get that imported into your new profile!
