Income & Growth Reporting

Need a quick overview of your earnings? Don’t worry; we’ve got you covered! You can easily keep track of your net earnings on StyleSeat. 

1. On your mobile device, click Earnings at the bottom of the screen.
2. Then click the Earnings tab at the top of the screen. 

OR

1. From the StyleSeat desktop website, click Growth.
2. Click Earnings. 

This page will show your net revenue for the selected period. You’ll see all of the funds you’ve earned on StyleSeat via card transactions, cash payments, tips, and taxes. Any fees you’ve paid will also be displayed, with the amount withdrawn from your earnings indicated in parentheses.

You can filter your net earnings to a specific time period by selecting daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly from the drop-down menu. 

To get a more complete picture of your income, you have access to StyleSeat’s Revenue Report feature. 

The Revenue Report is a more detailed breakdown of all your transactions, including any cash, check, or other payments on StyleSeat. To generate this report:

1. From the StyleSeat desktop website, Click on the Growth tab at the top of the page
2. Click Transactions
3. Select a timeframe from the drop-down menu. If you choose SELECT DATE RANGE, you'll be given a calendar to choose the start and end date
4. Click Export Data to download the Revenue Report

This will generate a report containing a row for every appointment you've booked on StyleSeat with the following details:

• Appointment information - (Client Name, Service, Date/Time, Price)
• Check out Details - (Product Cost, Tax Amount, Tip Amount)
• Payment Method - (Cash, Credit, Check, Gift Certificate)
• Payment Processing Details - (Total Charged, Fees, Net Earnings)

This report will be in .CSV format that you can open with the spreadsheet software of your choice.

NOTE: Revenue Reports can only be generated from the StyleSeat desktop website. The Export Data button will not be available on the mobile app or mobile website.

Your goals are our goals; let us help you get there! In addition to earnings and revenue data, StyleSeat’s Growth tab also helps you track your business growth. You can reach this tab by tapping Earnings on your mobile device or by clicking Growth on the desktop website. 

On the Summary page, you can set goals for your business and track the extra revenue StyleSeat helps you earn. StyleSeat is here to grow your business the right way by getting new clients who are a custom fit for your business, and making sure you are getting paid what your time is really worth!

You can also analyze your business growth with our handy reporting charts and tools that tie every interaction to revenue. From here you’ll see a breakdown of:

• Current YTD revenue
• Weekly, monthly, and yearly revenue with both your actual and projected earnings
• Client overview data that shows your percentage of new vs returning clients
• Booking and scheduling overview of your most popular services 

To view your charts:

1. From your mobile device, click Earnings at the bottom of the screen.
2. Click the three dots in the upper right-hand corner
3. In the dropdown menu, click Reporting.

1. From the StyleSeat desktop website, click Growth.
2. Click Reporting.

How often are my earnings and revenue reports updated?

Your income reporting is updated in real-time as transactions are processed through StyleSeat.

How far back can I view my transactions on StyleSeat?

You can view your transactions as far back as your account history allows. Additionally, you can filter your earnings to specific date ranges if needed.

What does “Other Charges” mean?

Other Charges include the value of any appointment that was not checked out on StyleSeat. This could include any appointment that was checked out as Cash or OTHER or an appointment that was canceled but not removed from your calendar. 

Why doesn’t my payout match the net revenue that shows on my earnings page?

When looking at the earnings report under the Growth tab in your Pro account, the way you can find the amount of your expected deposit is by subtracting the value of fees from the value of card transactions. This is because only the payments that were processed through StyleSeat will be included in your deposit.
