Do I qualify for a 1099-K?

StyleSeat will only send tax forms to professionals who process payments through StyleSeat.


Payment processors and online marketplaces, such as StyleSeat, are required to file and send a Form 1099-K if the earned total gross volume is greater than 20,000 USD and you have 200+ transactions.


NOTE: Certain states have thresholds for filing a 1099-K that differ from the federal requirements. If you processed transactions in these states, you may need to file a 1099-K. It's important to consult your state and local guidelines to determine if you are required to file a 1099-K in your state.
Where can I locate my 1099-K? - E-Delivery (NEW - Opt-In Required)

Receiving tax documents by traditional mail can often lead to delays and complications. To address these issues, we now offer the option for professionals to receive their tax documents electronically.


Please note that the default method of delivery is paper. To switch to paperless delivery, you must opt-in. Be sure to opt-in to e-delivery by January 18th. If you do not select paperless by January 18th, your tax forms will be sent via mail to the address on file with your account.


To opt for electronic delivery:


1. From the StyleSeat app, tap Menu


2. Tap Payments & Policies


3. Tap Tax Settings


4. Verify your information under the Your Tax Information section and Edit if necessary


5. Tap Opt In To Electronic Delivery and review the terms carefully. Tap Agree to opt in to e-delivery. 



6. After agreeing to the terms, confirm that the delivery method has changed to Paperless (e-delivery)


Your forms may take some time to process, but StyleSeat will notify you once they are ready for download. You should receive your 1099 tax form by January 31st.

Where can I locate my 1099-K? - Delivered by Mail (Default method)


Mail delivery is the default method for tax forms on StyleSeat. If you did not opt in to e-delivery, you will receive your forms by mail to the mailing address on file with your account.

To verify or update your mailing address: 


1. From the StyleSeat app, tap Menu


2. Tap Payments & Policies


3. Tap Tax Settings


4. Verify your mailing address on file in the Your Tax Information section and Edit if necessary
