How Payouts Work

StyleSeat offers flexible payout options to ensure you receive your earnings quickly and securely. Funds from completed appointments are transferred to your linked bank account based on the payout method you choose.


Standard Payout Schedule

  • Funds are processed Monday-Friday (excluding bank holidays).

  • Appointments checked out before 3:30 PM PST: Payout arrives in 1-2 business days.

  • Appointments checked out after 3:30 PM PST: Payout arrives in 2-3 business days.

  • Weekend Transactions: Appointments checked out Friday after 3:30 PM PST through Sunday are processed on Monday and paid out Tuesday.


Instant Payout Schedule

  • Immediately, as long as payout is initiated prior to 3:00pm PST.


Next-Day Payouts

To qualify, you must:

  • Have at least three services listed in your menu.

  • Upload at least three photos to your gallery.

  • Set up business hours.

  • Provide a valid business address (or enable "Mobile Business").


Approval typically takes a few days, and you’ll receive an email once activated.

Instant Payouts

What is Instant Payout?

  • Get immediate access to your earnings, even on weekends and holidays.

  • Funds are available instantly to your linked debit card.

  • A 1% fee applies per transaction.


How to Set Up Instant Payouts

  • Ensure you’re approved for Next-Day Payouts.

  • Go to Earnings > Payouts in the app.

  • Tap Instant Payout and follow the prompts to add a debit card.


Instant Payout Limits:

  • Minimum payout: $50.50

  • Maximum payout per transaction: $1,000

  • Limited to one Instant Payout per day

NOTE: After adding or updating a bank account, a 48 hour hold applies.

Why is my payout different than I expected?

There are many factors that can contribute to your payout not being the amount you anticipated. Some common factors include:

  • Having a negative balance due to issuing a client refund, a chargeback, or a duplicate payout

  • Fees deducted from appointments for growth features such as Smart Pricing or New Client Connection

  • Deductions for loan repayment

  • Payment processing fees

  • Instant Payout processing fee

How do I edit my bank account information?

To update your bank account:

  • Tap “Menu”

  • Tap “Payments & Policies”

  • Tap “Bank Account”

  • Tap “Edit”


Once you've updated your information, don't forget to save!


Why can’t I make an Instant Payout after I recently updated my bank account?

There is a temporary hold on payouts when a bank account or debit card gets updated. We are unable to override the hold and your payouts will be transferred to your bank account via standard payouts until the hold expires.


Why was there a withdrawal from my account?

When a refund is processed, the funds are paid out by Stripe, our payments processor. Once you have an available balance, those funds are then paid back to Stripe to cover the refunded amount. If there is no balance from appointment revenue, Stripe will attempt to make a withdrawal from your bank account.


Why are my funds only partially available for Instant Payout?

Depending on the time of day, some of your funds may already be in transit to your bank account via standard payouts. If that is the case, only a partial amount will be available for instant payout.


Why is my Instant Payout button greyed out?

  • You may have recently processed a refund.

  • A withdrawal (refund, Stripe loan, etc.) is pending.

  • Your bank account was updated in the last 24-48 hours.

  • If after 3 PM, funds may already be in transit via standard payout.


Why can’t I set up Instant Payouts?

  • You must first receive a standard payout before Instant Payouts become available.

  • Ensure you are approved for Next-Day Payouts.

  • If you still can’t access Instant Payouts, contact StyleSeat Support.


Why am I not receiving my Instant Payout?

  • Some banks do not support Instant Payouts (e.g., Ally Bank, Stride Bank, Sutton Bank, Bancorp, Varo, Middlesex Federal Savings, Discover).

  • If you recently changed your bank on file, a 24-48 hour verification period applies before Instant Payouts become available.
