In order to access New Client Connection, to bring new clients your way, you will need the following:

You will have 24 hours to accept or decline the new client request. We'll send a notification straight to your phone and email with the details on the New Client Connection.
We'll show you exactly where they are coming from, how much you'll earn from the appointment, plus a preview of projected future earnings fro every new client.
What Happens If You Don't Respond?
After 24 hours, we will automatically cancel the appointment from your calendar and direct the client to other professionals fora better client experience.
What Happens If The Appointment Is Booked Less Than 24 Hours In Advance?
If the appointment is booked within 24 hours, then the appointment is accepted automatically and added to your calendar. You will have the ability to cancel the appointment if you don't want it on your calendar.
How Will I Know I Have A New Client Request?
You will see a notification inside of your app when you get a new request. We will also send a notification straight to your phone and email with the details.

We want to make sure we don’t incorrectly take credit for making a new connection. If any of your clients are incorrectly marked as new, you have a few options:
Accept/Decline Client Pop Up
A modal will pop up to accept or decline the new client. If you believe there was a mistake in the client showing up as new, we recommend clicking Decline >> I know this client.
You will then have the opportunity to resolve the mistake and instantly remove the New Client Connection for your client by verifying the clients phone number.
NOTE: You will have a few chances to enter the phone number to verify.
Requesting a Correction Through the Appointment Details
1. Click on the appointment in your calendar
2. Click the tag New Client from StyleSeat
3. Click Request Correction
From there you will be prompted to send in a ticket to our support team to request to disable or reverse the one-time New Client Connection fee.

If the one-time New Client Connection fee was deducted from the revenue from an appointment with a client that was not new, we will gladly issue a refund for the fee. Use the same link in the appointment details to reach us or contact StyleSeat Customer Support directly.
How is the estimated annual earnings for a new client calculated?
Here’s an example:
A new client books a $200 service
- One-time new client fee is 30%, i.e., $60 (Premium Pros pay a maximum of $50, so they pay only $50; Basic plan Pros pay $60). And the tip is all yours.
- The next time that client books, you get 100%. Service, tip, everything.
- If the client comes back 4 times, your estimated earnings would be $800, all for a one-time fee of $60 or less.
This one-time fee is reinvested into more marketing efforts to continue to bring in New Clients. New Client Connection appointments must be checked out through StyleSeat.

New Client Connection is StyleSeat’s marketing initiative to promote your business by investing in TV ads, Google ads, digital and social media marketing, and more to connect you with quality clients and keep your calendar consistently booked. How will I know the source of the new client I received?
Each new client appointment will list the source. Below are the sources for which we
charge a new client fee.
- Brought to you by StyleSeat Search: Clients search using StyleSeat search and find you.
- Brought to you by StyleSeat Search Engine Optimization: By creating a profile on StyleSeat you appear higher on Google Searches. For instance: A client searches “braids near me” on Google and they land on your profile from Google and book you.
- Brought to you by StyleSeat Paid Search Engine Ads: We invest millions every year in paid search campaigns to bring new clients to StyleSeat, helping you attract more clients.
- Brought to you by a StyleSeat Client Referral: StyleSeat prompts clients to share your profile with other clients. That new client then books you through the link.
- Brought to you by StyleSeat Recommendations: StyleSeat markets you to other clients through targeted recommendations. We only recommend new services they've never booked, not services they already have a stylist for. If a client lands on an inactive pro’s profile, we recommend you to them based on what they're searching for.
What if my client doesn’t show up for the appointment?
If your client was successfully charged a No-Show or Late-cancel fee, the one-time New Client Connection fee is deducted from the total charge. If you feel a mistake was made, contact StyleSeat Customer Service.
What if my client or I need to cancel the appointment?
If the appointment is cancelled outside of the 24-hour window., you will not be charged the New Client Connection fee until the clients next appointment. However, if you charge the NSLC fee to the client, the fee will still apply. If you feel a mistake was made, contact StyleSeat Customer Service.
Why did my new client receive a 15% discount? Is this an additional fee?
Sometimes a new client receives a 15% discount as an incentive to book you for the first time, this is at no additional cost to you. The one-time New Client Connection fee that you already pay covers the discount that the client receives. The other portion gets reinvested into more marketing.
How can I make sure my own clients don’t get marked as new from StyleSeat?
While we cannot guarantee that a mistake won’t be made, there are several ways that we can identify that a client has previously been in contact and therefore has not been brought through the program. Here’s how:
- The client has favorited your profile prior to booking
- The client used your direct link that was shared with them via text from you or on your personal website
- You already have a client listing for the client with their contact information.
What if I know the client?
If you know the client click Decline. You will be taken to a short survey and select “I know the Client” option.
You need to give us the last 4 digits of the Clients phone number and we will remove the “New Client fee” if the phone number matches our record and you can keep the appointment.
