Get your new clients booking with StyleSeat directly from Google!

Your business can now connect directly to Google’s booking system through our platform. When people search for your services on Google Search, Google Maps or other Google surfaces, they’ll be able to book with you right away — no extra click-through required.

What is Google Reserve?

Google Business Reserve (also known as “Reserve with Google”) is a built-in booking tool integrated into Google’s ecosystem. It allows your business listing on Google to display an actionable “Book” button. When a potential customer finds you, they can check availability and schedule an appointment straight from Google — without having to navigate away to another site or app.

How It Works

A customer searches for a service (for example: “massage therapist near me”, or “hair salon San Francisco”).

Your Google Business Profile appears among search results or on Google Maps.

If you’re using our system and have enabled the integration, a “Book Online” (or equivalent) button will appear on your Google listing.

When a client clicks on the Book button they will be directed to your StyleSeat profile to book the appointment.

The booking is automatically entered into your scheduling calendar on our platform, and confirmation details are sent to the customer.

Your availability is updated so no double-booking occurs.

How Google Reserve Can Benefit Your Business

Increased visibility: Being bookable right from Google means more chances for new clients to find you when they’re already searching for your type of service.

Streamlined booking: Customers don’t have to leave Google or download a new app— less friction means fewer lost bookings.

Automatic sync: Since all bookings made via Google come straight into your scheduling system, you avoid having to manually import or track them.

More marketing value: Without additional ad spend, you capture bookings from search traffic you already receive.

Better user experience: Your customer receives booking confirmations, reminders and even review prompts the same way as if they booked via your website.

How to Get Started

  • To enable Google Business Reserve with our platform, you’ll need to complete the following steps:

  • Ensure you have a verified Google Business Profile – Make sure your business name, address and phone number  are correct and match across both Google and our platform.

  • By toggling on the feature your Google Business profile will automatically be connected.

  • Once everything is set up, Google will review and approve the integration. After that, your “Book” button should appear on your Google Business Profile.

Discovery And Visibility Tips

To improve your chances of being found and booked via Google Business Reserve:

  • Use descriptive, keyword-relevant service names (e.g., “Deep-tissue 60 min Massage” rather than “Relaxing Treatment”).
  • Keep your Google Business Profile updated — business hours, photos, services list and reviews all matter.
  • Ensure your profile’s address and category are accurate and consistent with your platform settings.
  • Encourage clients to leave reviews — higher review ratings and reviews make your listing more appealing.
  • Monitor your availability closely — time slots that remain open may reduce how often Google surfaces your business for real-time booking.

Booking Notifications & Calendar Sync

Bookings made via Google will appear in your calendar (on our platform) just like any other booking.

The client receives a confirmation and later reminder messages, according to your standard settings.

Since the calendar is always up-to-date, you avoid double-booking — only the slots you designate as available will appear through Google.

Google does not gain access to your full client list or backend system — it only receives the information needed to facilitate the booking (service type, availability, contact details for that booking).

You retain full control over your calendar, client data and follow-up marketing.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: Will bookings from Google show up in my platform exactly the same as bookings made elsewhere?

A: Yes — they are treated as standard bookings in your system — the same confirmation, reminders and client data flow apply.

Q: Could I get double-booked if clients use both Google and our website?

A: No — the integration uses your platform’s available slots as the source of truth. If a slot is booked—even via Google—it’s marked as unavailable for other channels.

Q: What data does Google access from my system?

A: Only what is necessary to show your services, availability and to process the booking: service names, times, your business listing info. Google does not see your full client database or internal calendar history.

Troubleshooting & support

If your “Book” button isn’t showing on your Google Business Profile, check:

  • Your Google and platform business names, addresses and phone numbers match exactly.

  • Your account is subscribed to the required plan or feature.

  • You have at least one service that meets the booking criteria (visible, bookable, etc.).

  • You have submitted the integration and Google has approved it (check status in your dashboard).

  • If everything seems correct but the button still doesn’t appear after a few days, contact our support team for help.
