How New Client Connection Works For Each Plan

Beginning 08/12/24, StyleSeat only offers the Basic Plan to Pros who activated before 08/12/24.

Basic Plan

  • One-time investment fee - we will charge 30% (service cost only) for every new client we bring your way. The fee is reinvested into more marketing efforts to continue to bring in new clients to send your way.
  • New Client Connection cannot be disabled on this plan.
  • New clients may get a 15% discount for their first appointment. We don't charge you separately for this, and we take care of it at our end. 
  • 3% payment processing fee (applies to service total + tip)


Premium Plan

  • One-time investment fee - we will charge 30% (service cost only) for every new client we bring your way. The fee is reinvested into more marketing efforts to continue to bring in new clients to send your way. Max $50 fee.
  • You can disable the New Client Connection on this plan. We understand everyone runs their business differently. If you feel New Client Connection is not a good fit, feel free to contact StyleSeat Customer Service to be removed from the program.
  • New clients may get a 15% discount for their first appointment. We don't charge you separately for this, and we take care of it at our end.
  • 2.75% payment processing fee (applies to service total + tip)


NOTE: Appointments booked under New Client Connection must be checkout through StyleSeat (even for professionals on the Premium Plan with a default manual checkout option).

I'm on the Premium Plan; why am I getting charged a New Client Connection fee?

One-time New Client Connection fees are charged whenever we bring you a new client irrespective of which plan you are on. If you would like to opt out of New Client Connection, please contact StyleSeat Customer Service to be removed from the program.


Do you apply the New Client Connection fee to my tips?

The New Client Connection fee is not applied to tips. Please keep in mind that the standard payment processing fee will apply to all payments on StyleSeat.


Why is StyleSeat offering clients a discount when they book?

Some clients will receive a 15% discount as an incentive to book with you for the first time. This discount is covered by your one-time New Client Connection fee - no additional cost to you.


I'm set to manual checkout; why is StyleSeat charging my clients?

The first appointment with each new client that is sent through the New Client Connection will be set up for automatic checkout. Appointments associated with New Client Connection cannot be checked out as cash or other payment methods.


What if a new client is a no-call/no-show?

If a new client is a no-call/no-show and you have an active policy, you may charge them the NSLC fee. The one-time new client fee will be collected from the NSLC fee for new client appointments. For information about declines, click here.


Why is there a New Client Connection fee attached to an appointment with a client I’ve already serviced?

The New Client Connection Fee is a one-time fee when we connect a new client to you. If it isn’t collected at the first appointment with that client, don’t worry—it will automatically be applied to a future appointment with that client. This ensures the fee is collected only once, regardless of when the client completes their first paid appointment.
